So many local people have told me how worried they are about our NHS – how difficult it is to get a GP appointment, hospital waiting times going up, ambulances taking longer to arrive.
As a mother I know how important it is to have a health service you can rely on.
Despite promising not to, the Tory/Lib Dem government imposed a top-down £3 billion reorganisation on the NHS – and local people are paying the price.
I stood alongside local people to save Whittington in 2010. I will always stand up for our NHS and the principles on which it was founded by the Labour Party.
On May 7th it’s a clear choice – more damaging privatisation, or an NHS for all, putting people before profit. If elected I will be proud to vote to repeal the Health and Social Care Act, and support Labour plans for guaranteed GP appointments within 48 hours, extra nurses and doctors, and health and social care working together to provide the care we need.
