Catherine West MP MP for Hornsey & Wood Green and Labour Candidate for Hornsey & Friern Barnet
The BBC Panorama programme aired last week showed Labour’s approach to tackling anti-Semitism to be seriously wanting. In more recent months, progress has been made in improving Labour’s internal disciplinary processes. However, it is only when the independent Human Rights watch dog, the EHRC, reports back shortly from its enquiry that the party will know it has a clean bill of health. Until then, Labour members should collectively seek to take seriously the task of eradicating any anti-Semitism in our ranks and building bridges with the Jewish community locally and nationally.
