320,000 new climate apprenticeships

Labour’s efforts saw the UK become the first Parliament in the world to declare a climate change emergency.  A Corbyn-led Labour Government would introduce a Green Industrial Revolution with a radical agenda to decarbonise Britain by 2030, ban frackingand invest in wind and solar to power 19.5 million homes and create over 400,000 jobs.  We’d slash energy bills and end fuel povertywith the biggest upgrade of cold and homes since the Second World War.

We’d close the skills gap by creating 320,000 new climate apprenticeships in our first term in Government.

The Guardian’s climate ranking awarded me 100% on my green voting record, and in Parliament I’ve led calls for supermarkets to eliminate plastic packaging, called for Government investment to support Plastic Free Communities, spoken out about the need to make all new homes zero-carbon and backed tougher action to decarbonise our polluting transport system.
