Over recent months I’ve heard from hundreds of constituents who are struggling to make ends meet. Faced with the doubling of household bills, stagnated wages, the highest inflation since 1984 and soaring costs for energy, fuel and everyday items, I believe that urgent Government intervention is needed.
A Labour Government would hold an Emergency Budget right now. We’d scrap the National Insurance hike, slash energy bills with a one-off tax on energy giants & help people in Hornsey & Wood Green who’re being pushed to the edge.
I want to hear how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting you. Please fill in my survey below – and I will use your responses to help inform my work in Parliament and in the community.
Importantly, please don’t struggle alone. My website has lots of useful information on where you can find help. You can also visit Haringey Council’s Here to Help webpage or The Mayor of London’s new cost-of-living hub.
