The 7th May election results needed urgent attention – they demonstrated the real possibility of a Reform-led Government. We couldn’t sleep-walk towards this result.

I want to thank Sir Keir Starmer for his service to our party and our country. He brought the Labour Party back to electability and delivered the Renters Rights Act and Employment Rights Act; landmark legislation that will change the lives of working people up and down the country. I hope Sir Keir continues to play a major role in this Labour government. We are strongest when we are a united party utilising all of our talents.
