Save Wood Green Animal Shelter
Wood Green The Animals Charity has had a base in Lordship Lane, Wood Green since 1924 when its founder Louisa Snow opened a centre to help the growing number of abandoned and injured animals seen on the streets of London following WWI.
It is a vital lifeline for pet owners on low incomes, providing advice and support as well as rehoming and care for unwanted animals. Its closure would be a real loss to the local community, yet sadly it is scheduled for closure at the end of March.
Please help me send a message to The Animals Charity that they are called Wood Green and should stay in Wood Green.
We, the undersigned, strongly oppose plans to close Wood Green – The Animals Charity, a centre that has supported pet owners and their pets for almost 100 years. It is a much loved part of our local community and we urge the Charity to work with Haringey Council and local supporters to stay in the heart of Wood Green.
