I was pleased to meet Breast Cancer Now at their annual Wear it Pink event in Parliament
this month and to speak to a few of their incredible supporters with lived experience of
breast cancer. However I was very concerned to learn that only 55.64% of people in
Hornsey and Friern Barnet attend screening when invited, which is lower than the England
average of 64.6%.

I would encourage all of my constituents to attend NHS screenings, including for breast, cervical, bowel cancer and Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), as this is absolutely vital in early detection and treatment. After the event, I wrote to the North London ICB to ask what they are doing to increase screening uptake in our community.
