“Since before I was first elected in 2015 I’ve joined the Pinkham Way Alliance in opposing the use of this important nature conservation site for waste development.

A huge amount of time and resources have already been spent trying and failing to reach an agreement on the site.  It’s clear to me that it isn’t suitable, but as long as the site stays in the hands of the North London Waste Authority we will keep having to defend it.

The Pinkham Way Alliance have demonstrated the importance of the site as a breeding ground and foraging range for endangered species and birds.  All of this would be at risk if the site is contaminated by a Waste Transfer Station.

I will continue to argue that Pinkham Way should be taken out of the North London Waste Plan to secure its long-term future.”
