My third in a series of zoom chats with constituents on key issues will take place on Friday 26 February from 12-1pm on the subject of women’s health.

I want to hear constituents’ thoughts, not only on how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted women’s access to and experiences of healthcare services, but also more broadly.  This week sees the launch of an inquiry to look at alleged racism in maternity care and last year’s Cumberlege Review was damning about the failure to listen to women’s experiences or take what were dismissed as “women’s problems” seriously.

I’ll be joined by Yinglen Butt, Associate Director of Nursing at the Royal College of Nursing; Dr Sara Hamilton, former Consultant Paediatrician at the Whittington Hospital and currently working on a Wellcome backed project to tackle health inequalities in  marginalised workers.   Cllr Peray Ahmet will be chairing the discussion.
