The popular Social Lunch for older Londoners at Jacksons Lane

For decades, Highgate’s Jacksons Lane have opened their doors to older adults, providing companionship, a warm lunch and a vibrant creative programme.  This winter, their Social Lunch will be more needed than ever, but they urgently need to raise £3,000 to keep it going.

I know how tough times are for everyone, but if you can support or share their fundraising campaign, please do.

Guests of the social lunch have spoken movingly about the enjoyment and companionship it provides.  One said “this place is my beacon of light during stormy months”.  To another “I always go home feeling lighter”.

With the cost of living crisis and soaring energy bills leaving many facing extremely difficult winters, it’s vital that places like Jacksons Lane are here to provide a warm, safe and fun place to gather.  One guest said “social lunch reminds me of the fun and joy in life”.  That matters, and I hope this campaign will raise the money needed to keep the these vital activities going over the winter.

Thank you for your support.
