Lots of constituents have been in touch about the temporary closure of Park Road and Tottenham Green pools and their deteriorating condition over recent months.
It’s on my next meeting agenda with Haringey Council and today David Lammy and I wrote to raise our concerns about the impact these closures are having on residents and school swimming lessons. We also offered any support we can in getting these vital facilities reopened. Read our letter in full here:
In Parliament, I will continue to call for more support to the sector which has been badly hit by soaring energy costs, staffing shortages and falling visitor numbers, with many pools not recovering customer numbers since the pandemic.
